  18. Um, are you sure this isn't one of the lobotomized modems that depends on
  19. MS Windows and your CPU to do most of the work?  Those are lots cheaper than
  20. "equivalent" full-function models, and lots simpler.  "Real" Sportster 28.8s
  21. are still going for $199-209 in the catalogs I see.
